Job Title: Director of Development, Marketing & Communication, Office for Education, Diocese of Bridgeport

There is an opening for a Director of Development, Marketing & Communication in the Office for Education of the Diocese of Bridgeport, based at the Catholic Center, Bridgeport, and reporting to Dr. Margaret Dames, Superintendent of Schools and Director of the Office for Education.

The Office for Education of the Diocese of Bridgeport is one of the leading Catholic School offices in the country. With numerous initiatives seeking to increase educational performance and academic excellence, the Office for Education seeks a highly motivated and capable Catholic professional with a strong sense of Catholic mission.

Hours: Full-time.

Brief summary of duties: The director will lead the Office for Education in all aspects of Development, Marketing and Communication. The candidate will work cooperatively with the Office for Education team, diocesan executives, principals, donors, and school advisory boards. The goal of the director will be to acquire resources to advance, to communicate, and to market the mission of the 39 schools in the Diocese of Bridgeport. Measurable objectives will include dollars raised, donors and grants secured, percentage increase in enrollment, and effectiveness in communications, including communication pieces created.

Minimum requirements (skills, education, years of experience, licenses, etc.): Ideally, the candidate will have experience with grant-writing, major donor management, marketing and communication. A Master's Degree with Educational background is encouraged.
